Men’s Ministry

The Men’s Ministry engages the men of the church in spiritual activities geared towards the community as well as the improvement of the lives of the members. It is hoped that this will bring about a closer, spiritual church family.

Southeast’s Men’s Ministry wants to create and manifest an environment in which men can mature and be more effective in their families, spiritual walk, work, and communities. Through small groups, men meet on a regular basis for breakfast, fellowship, bible study, prayer, discussion, accountability, deliverance and restoration.

"Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth: for he hath not another to help him up. Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone? And if one prevail against him; two shall with stand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken." Women’s Ministry

Women’s Ministries encourages women to improve their potential and participation in the mission of the church. It provides a support system for hurting women, and a forum to help address topics and issues as they affect women in and out of the church. It promotes programs to mentor young women and encourages college young women academically through a scholarship program. This program is funded primarily through the Three-Way Scholarship fund. Women’s Ministries encourages women to become involved in all areas of ministry in their church, their community and in their home, recognizing that women have many Gifts of the Spirit. It attempts to help women discover and use these gifts to the glory of God.

Foster spiritual growth and renewal among women. Affirm that women are of inestimable worth by virtue of their creation and redemption, and equip them for service in the church.
Minister to the broad spectrum of women’s needs across the life span, being sensitive to multicultural and multi-ethnic perspectives.
Cooperate with other specialized departments of the church to facilitate the ministry to women and of women.
Build goodwill among women in the world church that encourages bonds of friendship, support for service, and the creative exchange of ideas and information.
Mentor and encourage Seventh-day Adventist women, creating paths for their involvement in the church as they reach for their potential in Christ.

Find ways and means to challenge each Seventh-day Adventist woman to use her gifts to complement the talents of others as they work side by side to further the global mission of the church.

Sensational Seniors

We seek to meet the spiritual, physical and social needs of our retired and senior adults. The core values of the Sensational Seniors Ministry can be summed up as follows:

Fellowship – sharing of abilities with others for the cause of Christ.

Encouragement – reinforcing one another in need.

Compassion – support the needy. We are care givers, not just care receivers

Outreach – carrying out the Great Commission through our web of influence.

All are welcome to attend and become a part of our ministry, but we specifically target those who are 50 years of age and older.

Activities

Meet one a month for a luncheon, fellowship, encouragement, and programs of interest to help maintain a flow of information that can be used by the Senior population.
We generally have a few – one-day trips or activities throughout the year.

Family Life / Health Ministry

The guiding principle of the Bible directs that Christians nurture the spiritual, physical, intellectual, emotional and social needs of individuals, couples, and families, and families who make up the fabric of fellowship in the church. Healthy family functioning in a church environment and at home is a primary goal. The family is the ordained place where human beings can experience God's love to its fullest.

It is our goal to target the church with a variety of family life activities involving; teens, children, widows, those separated or divorced, as well as married couples and parents.

Sabbath School (Bible Study)

Join one of our Adult Sabbath School Bible study groups. Each week small groups get together to share what they’ve learned from the bible lesson and how it has made a difference in their lives.

Lives are changed and transformed in Sabbath School as the word of God unfolds in the class setting. And our cadre of committed God-fearing leaders, teachers, secretaries, choristers, and musicians embrace the belief that the work of saving souls is the driving force behind every aspect of the Sabbath school ministry.

The power of the Holy Spirit moves in the sanctuary during Sabbath school. You can witness that power every week in the engaged faces of the members in each of our classes. People join the church and become active as well as productive members of our church because of their Sabbath School experience.
