Frequently Asked Questions

Find quick answers to your questions about Southeast SDA Church. Explore our FAQs below to learn more about our church service on Saturday and how to stay informed.

What is your worship style?

Our worship services are a harmonious blend of prayers, scriptures, diverse choirs, special vocal and instrumental performances, liturgical dance, and always a powerful, uplifting sermon. We strive to inspire and challenge our congregation in their Christian journey.

Can someone pray or talk with me?

Absolutely. Upon your arrival, please inform one of our Greeters that you would like prayer or conversation. They will ensure that an Elder from Southeast Church prays with you and arranges a dedicated time for further discussion.

Do you offer a new members class?

Yes. If you are ready to move from attending to fully partnering in the mission, vision, and values of Southeast SDA Church, we offer a new members class entitled, Fresh Start, for New Members.  Please contact Pastor Stan Hood or join us via zoom.

What can I expect when I visit?

At our Saturday services, both online and in-person, you will be enveloped in a warm, welcoming atmosphere accompanied by powerful worship music.

For those attending in person, our sanctuary is equipped with two large screens that prominently display Bible verses and key sermon points to enrich your worship experience.  Similarly, our online participants will enjoy a seamless viewing experience, accessing the same enriching content displayed in the sanctuary.

We understand that visiting a new church can be intimidating, which is why our dedicated team stands ready at all main entrances.  They are eager to guide you, answer any questions you may have, and ensure you feel completely at home as you explore and navigate our facilities.

Do you livestream the services?

Yes. Southeast SDA streams all services from the main sanctuary onto our website. Our Live Stream page can be accessed on this site here or under the Worship => Online Worship link at the top of the website. We can also be found on social media outlets.

Do I have to dress up?

We encourage our visitors and members to dress comfortably. Whether that means dressing up or wearing something more casual, the choice is yours. Our priority is your comfort and that you feel at home as we worship and grow in Christ together.

Is there a nursery provided during service?

Yes. We have nursery care provided during church service. Feel free to bring your infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and kindergartners here at any time before worship (as early as 9:45 am) or bring them to the nursery after the Children’s Message. Our youngest children are lovingly nurtured by a team of professional caregivers. They, too, worship and learn about Jesus’ love in a safe and secure environment with age-appropriate material.

Do you have a Childrens Ministry, Teen, and Adult Sabbath School Program?

Yes, we offer a comprehensive Christian education program for all ages, from toddlers to adults, based on biblical truths. Our lessons are crafted to empower our community for successful Christian living.  The Children’s Ministry offers various programs, including a children’s program during Sabbath worship.

How can I get involved at Southeast?

We have many fellowships and Bible studies that meet throughout the week. Please check our Ministries sections for a list of these and also our calendar to see information, times, and events that are scheduled.
