How We Serve

The Outreach Ministry at the Forest Hill Church of Christ is dedicated to reaching out to members of the community and serving as ambassadors for Christ. This ministry seizes opportunities and occasions to meet people and work with various ministries. This ministry provides an opportunity for the church and the community to come together in building relationships. Members who work in this ministry can expect to serve in a variety of ways.

 

 

How We Engage

 

College Care Packages Final exam time can be grueling for college students! The Outreach Ministry wraps “a little something special” and sends care packages to our college students as they wrap up the first semester each year.   Ministry Contacts: Kendrick and Shanita Widemon	Fall & Spring Festivals The surrounding community, our church family and their kinfolk/friends are cordially invited to have great fun while getting to know us during these two outdoor events…one in the fall and the other in the spring!   Ministry Contacts: Kendrick and Widemon	Friends & Family Days These are special days where we ask all members to make extra special efforts to invite friends and family to worship with us! We want to SHARE THE JOY of living in Jesus Christ and fellowshipping with the body of believers at the Church of Christ in Forest Hill!   Ministry Contacts: Michael Richardson
Health Fair Formerly ‘Purple Tea and Honor Thy Father Cancer Events‘, these programs occur every two years. Attendees learn about cancer prevention, treatment and available resources. Additionally, they hear testimonies of cancer survivors and “real talk” about cancer.   Ministry Contacts: Adrian Gilbreath	Visitor Reception/Greeters Welcome! The Visitor Reception/Greeters team is always ready to receive visitors and members with a genuine smile and friendly reception.
