How We Serve
The Benevolence Ministry exists to provide short-term financial assistance and spiritual support to individuals and families facing unexpected crises. We believe that every person is created in the image of God, and our goal is to offer a bridge of hope during difficult seasons. We provide support designed to address immediate needs while encouraging long-term stability. Our assistance typically includes: Financial Aid, Essential Resources, Guidance, Referral, and Spiritual Care.
How We Engage
Our ministry is built on relationships, not just a transaction. We engage through: Personal Interviews, Collaborative Problem Solving, and Community Partnerships

Fish & Bread Ministry
Bible Reference: “If you pour yourself out for the hungry and satisfy the desire of the afflicted, then shall your light rise in the darkness.” Isaiah 58:10
How we serve: The Fish & Bread ministry is designed to provide meals on a short-term basis to new mothers after giving birth and members of the Church of Christ in Forest Hill who suffer from serious illnesses such as debilitating surgery. Our goal is to lovingly provide support for our members in their time of need.
Upon request, the Fish and Bread Ministry will deliver meals to new mothers after giving birth and to members who are ill on a short-term basis. Members may contribute to this ministry by making monetary donations. Please contact the office if you are in need of meal assistance or if you would like to make a monetary donation.

Bereavement

How we serve: Our Bereavement Ministry is dedicated to providing a compassionate, Christ-centered support system for individuals and families mourning the loss of a loved one.
We serve our congregation by offering:
- Emotional & Spiritual Support: Providing a safe space to process grief through prayer, scripture, and compassionate listening.
- Practical Assistance: Helping families navigate the immediate logistics of funeral or memorial service planning.
